The Cast
At the start of the series, JJ has recently begun his filmmaker career, and so retains a charming naivety. His arc will move him from a place of automatic trust to a more prudent position where he understands not everyone with interest in Dipper has good intentions.
At the start of the series, Toya has been a Communications Specialist for Big Agency for several years and has grown jaded over that time. Her arc will move her from investing her life in other’s projects to finding meaningful expression in her own art with JJ and Dipper.
Silent, but steady. Chris is Toya and JJ’s non-speaking roommate. A straight man archetype that everyone loves. It’s unclear what Chris does, but damn does he do it well.
Neighbor and landlord, Greg is the primary antagonist. He is a sad fellow, an echo of an echo of a fart. Over the course of the series, Greg becomes obsessed with proving Dipper exists. He is, however, unaware Dipper is an alien until he’s explicitly told. His main gripe is his tenants getting away without paying the pet deposit.
Toya’s boss at Big Agency. At the start of the series, Arthur is high on his own hype, but is humbled when Big Agency goes under. After he’s given an internship in the Dipper videos, Arthur returns to his old self, only to be humbled once more.
